AngloGold miner dies from injuries

AngloGold Ashanti has announced on Friday that a miner had died from serious injuries sustained in a fall of ground accident on September 13 last year at its Moab Khotsong mine near Klerksdorp.

Mahlasinyane Leipa, 45, a rock drill operator and citizen of Lesotho, had worked for the company for 20 years. He had been undergoing intensive medical care since the accident.

He is survived by his wife and three daughters aged 21, 14 and 10. - I-Net Bridge
