Arsenal: The Gunners will be without Emmanuel Eboue, who has an ankle problem, for today's FA Cup fourth-round tie with Bolton. Arsene Wenger expects Bolton to provide another "good character test" for his Arsenal side. The manager accepts he may have to face up to life without leading scorer Robin van Persie for the rest of the season.

Aston Villa: Martin O'Neill has admitted he may renew his interest in signing Chelsea winger Shaun Wright-Phillips during the summer. Ashley Young is relishing forming a partnership with John Carew and insists: "I can only learn off a player of his quality."

Blackburn: Mark Hughes believes the tackle by Watford's Al Bangoura which broke Robbie Savage's leg has been "swept under the table". Matt Derbyshire believes fans have yet to see the best of him despite the explosive form that has earned the striker a new contract.

Bolton: El-Hadji Diouf is ruled out of today's match against Arsenal. Sam Allardyce is confident his side have enough about them to knock out the Gunners as they did last season. The manager has signed Slovakia defender Lubomir Michalik on a three-and-a-half-year contract.

Charlton: Sheffield Wednesday have accepted a bid believed to be around £2.5 million for defender Madjid Bougherra. Captain Matt Holland has revealed Alan Pardew has "made a big impact" since taking over. Pardew believes they can give themselves an edge in the relegation battle by using the break to get "fitter and more intense".

Chelsea: The club could welcome back captain John Terry for their tie with Nottingham Forest at Stamford Bridge today. Ashley Cole has backed striker Didier Drogba's claim that internal bickering has affected the club's results this season.

Everton: Wales boss John Toshack has admitted his relief that Simon Davies has left the club after the midfielder made a £3 million move to Fulham this week. Andy Johnson admits he "got out of jail" after tests revealed he had not suffered a broken ankle against Wigan.

Fulham: Chris Coleman is close to confirming the Craven Cottage arrival of Russia international midfielder Alexei Smertin. Coleman has been charged by the FA for the comments he made about the officials following Saturday's 1-1 draw with Tottenham.

Liverpool: The club have confirmed they have received an approach from US businessman George Gillett, but the Dubai consortium remain in pole position for the takeover. Rafael Benitez is confident the proposed signing of Javier Mascherano will add balance, and adds all he can do now is hope Fifa clear him to sign on.

Man City: Joey Barton returns to the squad for today's clash with Southampton at Eastlands. Stuart Pearce believes becoming England Under-21 coach could only help him in the Manchester City job, but he will not risk losing the latter. Pearce has revealed he is closing in on a striking reinforcement ahead of the transfer window deadline.

Man Utd: Alex Ferguson has branded Arsene Wenger's assertion that United are a 70-minute team "a load of nonsense". Ferguson has not yet abandoned hope of luring Bayern Munich midfielder Owen Hargreaves to Manchester. The manager has slapped a "not for sale" notice on Cristiano Ronaldo, no matter how much Real Madrid are prepared to pay for him.

Middlesbrough: Gareth Southgate has admitted defender Jonathan Woodgate is ready to resume his England career. Southgate admits new Uefa president Michel Platini's hopes of establishing a salary cap are desirable, but unworkable. Ugo Ehiogu has revealed he turned down a coaching job at Middlesbrough to sign for Rangers.

Newcastle: Obafemi Martins has promised there is more to come after finding his feet in English football. Glenn Roeder is working desperately to strengthen his squad as the transfer window runs down.

Portsmouth: Harry Redknapp admits he would love to emulate Alex Ferguson and continue to manage until he is 65. New signing Djimi Traore says he was disappointed to be cup-tied for Portsmouth's visit of Manchester United at Old Trafford yesterday.

Reading: The club have signed 18-year-old goalkeeper Mikkel Andersen from Danish side AB Copenhagen. Reading defender Ulises de la Cruz has revealed he is hungry for goals after moving nearer to his favourite restaurant. There is an Ecuadorean restaurant in London, at the Elephant and Castle.

Sheffield United: Neil Warnock has defended his decision to allow Steve Kabba to join relegation rivals Watford. Northampton have signed 18-year-old Sheffield United striker Jordan Robertson on loan until the end of the campaign. Notts County have completed a permanent move for midfielder Jay Smith, while Ian Ross has rejoined on loan.

Tottenham: Edgar Davids has agreed an 18-month contract with Ajax, according to his representative. Paul Robinson believes winning silverware this season needs to be the next step for Martin Jol's young squad. Feyenoord have confirmed they will appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport over Uefa's decision to exclude them from the Uefa Cup. Spurs have received a bye to the next round.

Watford: The club have confirmed the signing of striker Steven Kabba in a £500 000 transfer from fellow Premiership strugglers Sheffield United. Adrian Boothroyd believes there is plenty more to come from Kabba. 'Manager Boothroyd is planning a Watford empire, insisting even Manchester United were small once.

West Ham: Steve Bruce says he has Birmingham's full backing over his decision not to sell star defender Matthew Upson to the London club. Chairman Eggert Magnusson has confirmed the club are "in discussion" over a possible move to the London 2012 Olympic stadium.

Wigan: The club have completed the signing of Chesterfield striker Caleb Folan for a fee of £500 000. Wigan chairman Dave Whelan is poised to raise more than £50 million by selling some of his stake in JJB Sports. Leighton Baines insists no one within the camp is feeling down despite the current frustration being experienced.
